Neighbour dispute leads to arrest
A neighbour dispute which occurred on November 13 has resulted in the arrest of a city man. Police investigated a complaint in the east end of the city between two neighbours. In the mid-evening hours of November 14, police attended to the area and made an arrest on a man for uttering a threat to cause death. Thirty-nine-year-old city resident Michael Christopher Huntley was arrested without incident and taken into custody. He was later released on an undertaking with strict conditions and a promise-to-appear in the Ontario Court of Justice next month in Belleville to answer the charge.
Liquor arrest
On November 14, 2018 at 11:51 p.m. police were called to a report of a fight outside a liquor establishment on North Front Street. Upon attending police were notified that the combatants had both left the area, continuing to fight further south on North Front Street. One involved male suffered minor scratching and bruising to his head. After gathering all relevant information police arrested and charged a 20-year-old Oshawa.
