A number of roads in Prince Edward County are potentially seeing speed changes.
Council at Shire Hall discussed during their Committee of the Whole meeting changing some road speeds following a report from the Engineering Development and Works Commission.
Council is looking to reduce the speed on East Mary Street to 40 km/h.
Wilson Road between Highway 62 and County Road 1 would be changed to 60 km/h. On Wilson, west for 700 metres from Highway 62 would see the removal of the posted 50 km/h zone and 700 metres west of Highway 62 would be 70 km/h.
Lalor Street would see a reduction to 20 km/h.
Union Road between County Road 2 and Cannery Road would be reduced to 40 km/h and between Cannery Road and Highway 62 would be a posted 50 km/h zone.
Council voted against the installation of traffic calming speed humps on Union Road.
The changes will be voted upon on November 27.
