OPP have charged an inmate at Millhaven Institution after an assault on a correctional officer in late September.
The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries in the September 20 incident, which saw the Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad called in to investigate.
Specific details of the incident weren’t released.
Twenty-eight-year-old inmate Colton Ferguson has been charged with aggravated assault of a peace officer and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He’ll appear in court on November 29 to answer to those charges.
