The consultations are expected to take about three months and will be done in military communities across the province and through an online portal, which you can find by clicking here.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford says his government is looking to make life easier for armed forces members and their families as it begins consultations on a new military family hotline.
The hotline would help provide information to moving military families on things like schooling, job opportunities, child care, driver and vehicle licensing and more.
Ford told a news conference at the National Air Force Museum of Canada that moving across the country puts immense stress on military families.
Ford added that his government is committed to helping military families settle in Ontario and deal with that stress and anxiety.
Meanwhile, officials with the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre are praising the hotline idea.
Tamara Kleinschmidt with the MFRC says the hotline will be helpful to the staff there as well.
