Impaired driver causes collision
On October 28, 2018 at 2:41 a.m. police responded to a hit-from-behind collision at the intersection of Sidney Street and Tracey Street. An investigation resulted in 41-year-old Rene Calderon Rodriguez of Scarborough Ontario getting arrested and charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood. There were no reported injuries but the collision resulted in major damage with both involved vehicles having to be towed. Rodriguez was released from custody on a promise-to-appear in the Ontario Court of Justice next month.
Domestic dispute
On October 28, 2018 at 12:56 p.m. police responded to a domestic disturbance on the west hill. An investigation into the matter revealed that a heated argument erupted between a 20-year-old male and a 22-year-old female regarding a text message. Police provided advice to the couple. Nobody was arrested. There were no injuries.
