What used to be a pizza joint on the way to Sandbanks Provincial Park has been transformed into one of the 10 best new restaurants in Canada.
The Sand and Pearl Oyster Bar has been named the 9th best new restaurant in the country by Air Canada EnRoute.
The Sand and Pearl, now closed for the season, specializes in modern seafood dishes in a casual beachfront atmosphere.
It is located on County Road 12 in Prince Edward County near West Lake.
The top-rated new restaurant was the Restaurant at Pearl Morissette in the Niagara region.
