Saturday will be a day of fun and fire prevention education in Belleville.
The Belleville Fire Department is holding an event from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. tomorrow that will aim to teach children and adults how to prevent fires at home and how to stay safe during a fire.
Fire prevention officers will also remind people to consistently check the status of their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, as they are a key part of home fire escape planning.
The family-friendly event will also include giveaways, a fire truck demonstration and a chance to meet some of the firefighters serving the community.
