One of the tightest mayoral races in the Quinte Region on Monday night was in Brighton, where only 133 votes made the difference.
Current councillor Brian Ostrander edged out incumbent Mark Walas to take the mayor’s job.
Laura Vink will retain the deputy mayor title, earning 3,419 votes and beating Thomas Rittwage.
Mary Tadman led all councillors in the voting and was re-elected with 2,853 votes.
She’ll be joined by Ron Anderson, Mark Bateman, Emily Rowley and Doug Leblanc.
Both John Martinello and Steven Baker failed to get re-elected.
