The City of Quinte West could be seeing a property geared to seniors housing.
At the city’s planning committee Thursday night, members approved a one-storey six-unit complex proposal for just north of 61 West Street in Trenton.
Property owner David Weir says it does not have to be seniors that move in, but he is gearing it towards them, with it being all one level.
He says a lot of seniors are looking to downsize, but cannot afford a retirement or nursing home unit.
He’s also looking to add a common space in the facility.
Weir says the goal is to have shovels in the ground for spring.
