Construction on the Norris-Whitney Bridge has continued along with nightly closures but now a couple of significant closures are expected and people will need to plan ahead.
A 12-hour closure is scheduled for October 30 beginning at 7 p.m. and going until 7 a.m. on the 31st.
A rain date of October 31/November 1 is planned.
This will allow crews to replace the expansion joints as part of the rehabilitation of the bridge.
The single lane closures continue prior to this major closure, as well as after.
Those closures will continue from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays.
A second 12-hour closure is also expected in the future.
