A small older wood frame house in Brighton was heavily damaged after a fire early this (Thursday) morning.
Brighton firefighters were called out around midnight to 22 Price Street West in the town’s Gosport neighborhood.
The home’s occupants got out safely and the fire was out by shortly after 1 o’clock this morning.
Brighton Fire Chief Rick Caddick says the flames were contained to the attic of the small cottage like home but the rest of it suffered heavy smoke and water damage.
The cause is under investigation.
