The community is rallying around a key fixture at the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre after he suffered an injury.
The facility’s dog, two-and-a-half year-old Labrador retriever Hercules, tore his ACL and like a human, will need surgery to fix the injury.
While the MFRC isn’t behind the fundraising, Hercules’ owner says he “gives so much to the Trenton Community every day and he deserves a chance to come back to the life he loves and was trained for, supporting military members, veterans and their families”.
The surgery costs close to $6,000.
