UPDATE: Prince Edward County Deputy Fire Chief Robert Rutter tells Quinte News that road closures in place on Victoria Road, at Highway 62 and Hubbs Road, should be lifted around 6:00 p.m., or shortly after.
Rutter says a total of 43 firefighters and 11 trucks were involved in fighting the blaze, that damaged an old two-story farm house, this afternoon.
He adds nobody was injured and fire investigators will be on scene into the evening looking into the cause.
There’s been no update yet on a damage cost estimate.

Prince Edward County firefighters are on the scene of a structure fire in Ameliasburgh this afternoon.
Multiple 911 calls came in just before 3:00 p.m. about the blaze at 110 Victoria Road, with heavy smoke visible.
There are reports that people inside were able to get out safely and that flames were found in the attic, but no details have been confirmed.
Drivers should be aware that there may be an impact to traffic on Victoria Road while fire crews are on scene.
