A Quinte West resident is facing charges connected to corruption charges involving police officers in the GTA.
At the start of 2018, York Regional police said they became aware of a police officer allegedly engaging in criminal activity.
The investigation revealed an officer was involved in numerous criminal activities, including attempted armed robbery.
Constable Richard Senior is facing 30 charges, including obstruction of justice, attempted armed robbery, conspiracy to traffic steroids, trafficking cocaine, careless storage of a firearm and breach of trust by a public officer.
A second officer has been charged with breach of trust, and unauthorized use of a computer.
Five others have been charged, including Jean Christie of Quinte West.
