The pro-wind turbine group in Prince Edward County is holding an event this weekend to educate people on the turbines and give them a chance to get up close and personal with the giant energy makers.
The Under Turbine Nine family friendly wind event will include educational components, kite flying, food and more and takes place at the Royal Road access point, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Organizer Jennifer Ackerman says there has been a lot of misinformation circulated by anti-turbine groups and they want to clear the air
Ackerman says it is not a protest and that the event has no involvement from WPD.
She also says any unwelcome “troublemakers” will be escorted off the property.
