Usually, election races for school board positions are pretty quiet affairs, however, there’s definitely bad blood between two people running for a position on the Hastings Prince Edward School Board.
On CJBQ’s Lorne Brooker Show today (Wednesday), candidate Lisa Anne Chatten described being cyber-bullied by another candidate, Margaret Schuler on Facebook.
Posts on Schuler’s Facebook said Chatten owned a Jaguar car and contained insulting remarks about her morals and weight.
Margaret Schuler, a former teacher, called in and admitted there was no excuse for personal attacks and said she was pestered into making the comments during an online argument with someone suggesting Chatten was the better candidate.
She did say that she had apologized and that it was a one time mistake.
