Napanee OPP made a significant pot seizure on the weekend.
Police say shortly before noon on Monday, officers stopped a westbound vehicle on the 401 travelling at a high rate of speed.
Officers discovered the driver had large garbage bags in the backseat of their vehicle and determined the bags were full of marijuana.
More bags were discovered in the truck as well, prompting police to made a roadside arrest.
In total, 44 kgs of marijuana was seizure by the OPP.
Hongyu Li of Whitby is facing speeding and possession for the purpose of trafficking charges.
The 36-year-old man will appear in Napanee court today.
