Prince Edward County council will see an in-depth report on community safety and well being at its regular meeting tonight (Tuesday).
Hours of consultations, surveys, and information gathering has led to a formal report which will be presented to council by Ann McIntosh and Susan Quaiff.
Under the guidance of the Prince Edward County Police Services Board and other organizations, the first edition of the Community Safety and Well Being Plan will feature 4 priorities.
They are strategies involving emergency response, senior support, poverty reduction, and addictions and mental health.
Tonight, council will be asked to approve the wide ranging plan.
