Officials are still waiting on the details but are feeling positive following a provincial funding announcement for more hospital beds.
Chief Nursing Officer Carol Smith-Romeril says they are waiting on more details but she’s hoping the beds will be available in time for flu season.
It was announced there would be $90 million invested province-wide for more hospital beds.
It was one of Doug Ford’s campaign promises to end hallway healthcare.
Smith-Romeril says they don’t know how many beds this means for Quinte Health Care or if the beds are permanent or just for flu season.
