It’s been a bit of a challenging year in the Quinte Region as far as real estate sales go.
That’s the word from Quinte and District Association of Realtors President Natasha Huizinga in her latest monthly report.
Despite that trend, she says there were some positive numbers in September, with total monthly dollar sales up 3.6% from 2017, to more than $84 million.
Residential dollar sales for September were up 13.9%, accounting for more than $77.2 million of the monthly total.
While the dollar sale amounts are up, the number of units sold is down considerably, but there was a 15.7% increase in residential listings.
QDAR says the average sale price of a home is up 11.1% over last year, at more than $332,000.
