On September 26, 2018, officers from the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious person hanging around a school bus pick up point in Bloomfield.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, George Baverstock, 68 years old, of Picton, was charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:
Criminal Harassment and Assault.
Baverstock was released on a promise to appear in Picton on October 31, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice Courtroom.
Police are continuing their investigation and are asking if anyone with information regarding this incident or if anyone has witnessed any unusual activity in that area to contact the OPP Provincial Communications Centre at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477 (TIPS).
