UPDATED @ 1:17 P.M.:
The OPP have reopened the eastbound lanes of the 401 at Wooler Road.
Around 7:00 a.m., OPP, Quinte West fire, and EMS crews were called to the off ramp at Wooler Road, in the eastbound lanes.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen tells Quinte News that the driver slammed into a barrier that was set up for construction at the bridge.
Detours were set up at County Road 30 at Brighton.
The driver of the big rig was injured, however the severity is not known at this time.

Still slow going on the 401 Tuesday morning, following a tractor trailer crash at the border of Quinte West and Northumberland County.
