The route was different but it was the same goal for about 40 men who took part in the annual Walk a Mile in her shoes event in Belleville Saturday.
The men, including MPP Todd Smith, MP Neil Ellis, and Mayor Taso Christopher, wore red high heels and stomped from the Belleville Legion to Victoria Park.
They were raising money for the Three Oaks Foundation which provides shelter and support programs for battered women and their children.
Three Oaks Executive Director Sandy Watson-Moyles says about $15,000 was raised at the walk.
Brock Parrinder raised the most money, bringing in $13,000.
