It is still one of the newer schools in the Quinte region, however this weekend, a milestone celebration is taking place.
September 8, 1998 was the day St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School opened its doors for the first time.
It has been 20 years since then, and this weekend former students and staff will gather to remember what has happened since.
Organizer Teresa Brown says there will be a tour of the school, a meet and greet for students, a cake cutting, a formal celebration with Archbishop Brendan O’Brien, and a mass with intentions for the students and staff at 4:30 at Holy Rosary Church.
A gathering afterwards will take place at Signal Brewery in Corbyville, where the band the Enrights will perform at 8 p.m.
