The Trenton Golden Hawks have not played five games in the 2018-19 season, however the hockey operations team has been working the phones and making major changes early.
The team has traded goaltender Tanner Sheppard, and forward Kevin Stiles to the Pickering Panthers. Sheppard, the Hamilton Bulldogs draft pick, played just one game for the GHawks, while Stiles was entering his second season in Trenton. In 55 games played, the forward had 19 points.

With the departure of of Tanner Sheppard, the G-Hawks had an opening in goal. They went to the OHL to acquire Anand Oberoi from the Erie Otters. He played 28 games last year in the Ontario major junior league. The year prior he was in the CCHL with the Kanata Lasers.
Mason Hardy has been acquired from the Ontario Hockey League’s Mississauga Steelheads. Hardy played 32 games last year in the “O”, and the year prior in junior with the Stratford Warriors. He is a Kitchener native.

The G-Hawks are welcoming a high end talent from the Saginaw Spirit. Courtice native, 16 year old Ethan Cardwell joins Trenton, after being in the OHL camp in Michigan. He is a 2018 2nd round pick in the OHL Priority Selection. Last year he played a handful of games with the Wellington Dukes. His grandfather Steve played with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the AHL’s Hersey Bears.
