Belleville council could decide to ban all portable advertising signs that are not located at the actual location of the business.
Staff and councillors have received numerous complaints about the proliferation of portable advertising signs throughout the city.
Staff surveyed Kingston, Napanee, Quinte West and Cobourg and discovered Belleville was the only community that allowed off-premise portable signs.
At its meeting Monday, council will vote on a staff recommendation that all off-premise portable signs be banned.
