Quinte West OPP recently participated in a vehicle inspection initiative on Quinte West highways.
The campaign took place on September 13 and involved the Quinte West detachment, OPP Highway Safety Division, Kingston Police, MOE and MTO.
There were 39 inspections completed leading to 23 charges. Sixteen of those charges were maintenance-related says Detachment Commander Christina Reive.
Officers seized four licence plates removing those vehicles from the highway.
The OPP are reminding the public to keep regular maintenance up to date and keep your motor vehicle and trailers in safe working condition.
