A 30-year-old woman is facing multiple charges following an aggravated assault in Brighton on Tuesday night.
Northumberland OPP say the woman is facing assault causing bodily harm, failure to comply with conditions and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose charges.
She is currently in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Police were called to a reported stabbing near Main Street around 8 p.m. where they found a 37-year-old man suffering from serious but non-life threatening injuries.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate this incident with assistance from the Central Region Forensic Identification Services.

Northumberland OPP have released information regarding the stabbing in Brighton on Tuesday night.
Police say an arrest has been made but the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
So far police are saying the incident occurred around 8 p.m. near Main Street.
A 37 year-old man was injured and taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

was stabbed last night (Tuesday) in Brighton.
Social media photos show OPP police tape around a business in downtown Brighton. The incident occurred after 9 o’clock.
The unconfirmed reports indicate the male was stabbed in the stomach and was taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Kingston.
OPP were said to be looking for a female suspect.
