A female suffered burns to an arm and hand in a cooking incident that led to a major fire in Centre Hastings last (Wednesday) night.
The Ivanhoe and Madoc halls, along with crews from Stirling-Rawdon were called out to 1693 Moira Road around 8 o’clock to find a two-storey house fully engulfed in flames.
The home, located not far west of Highway 37 was destroyed.
Between $400,000 and $500,000 damage was done.
Firefighters were on scene until around 2 o’clock this (Thursday) morning.
