A 68-year-old woman jumped off the Norris Whitney Bridge between Belleville and Prince Edward County early Thursday morning.
A construction worker on the bridge spotted the woman jumping into the water on the county side of the bridge at around 3:30 a.m.
OPP, Belleville police, paramedics, and Prince Edward County and Belleville firefighters responded.
Fire department boats were launched into the bay.
The woman was seen swimming in the water, and she was pulled into a rescue boat by Prince Edward County firefighters at about 3:55 a.m.
She was taken to Belleville General for observation.
