UPDATE @ 3:35 p.m.: There are reports of an afternoon robbery in Brighton.
Calls to Quinte News and various social media reports say multiple suspects entered the Pharma Plus on Main Street just after 2:00 p.m. and demanded narcotics.
Photos from the scene show police tape draped around a patio at the rear of the pharmacy, but OPP have yet to confirm any details.
Students at Brighton Public School and East Northumberland Secondary School were put in a hold and secure but were released at the end of the school day.

Two schools in Brighton have been placed in “hold and secure” routines at the request of OPP after an outside incident this afternoon.
Kawartha Pine Ridge School Board Spokesperson Judy Malfara confirms to Quinte News that students at Brighton Public School and East Northumberland Secondary School are taking the emergency precautions, but everyone inside is safe.
Hold and secure means the outside doors are locked, but operations continue as usual inside the building.
Reports to Quinte News say police are investigating a potential robbery at a pharmacy on Main Street in Brighton, but we are waiting on OPP to confirm any details.
