There’s no need to be alarmed if you notice armed soldiers patrolling the entrances to CFB Trenton tomorrow morning.
8 Wing officials say soldiers will be taking part in standard Canadian Armed Forces security training and will be carrying weapons as part of the routine exercise.
Media Officer Captain Trevor Reid says the training is an important part of maintaining readiness and preparation for a wide range of operations.
While there is expected to be minimal impact on traffic, drivers are reminded to follow the directions of any traffic control personnel when entering or leaving 8 Wing tomorrow morning.
