Police have released some details in regards to the two vehicle collision that closed the eastbound 401 on Saturday morning near Napanee.
Shortly before 6 a.m. the OPP were called to the major highway east of Switzerville Road.
According to police, a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road was hit by oncoming traffic.
The driver, who was outside his vehicle was hit and killed.
He has been identified as Paul Allison, 76, of Brampton.
The investigation is ongoing.
