A new X-ray centre is getting ready for a launch in the Tri Area Medical Centre in Madoc.
Centre Hastings Mayor Tom Deline says the municipalities in the area, which include Madoc Township and Tudor and Cashel, spent $100,000 on preparing the room, and some equipment, at the Medical Centre.
Deline says it will be particularly important for seniors of the area.

The X-ray company, STL Imaging, is expected to have the system in place in September.
