A local MP has stepped away from her role in the Natural Resources Ministry.
Northumberland Peterborough South member Kim Rudd says after a lengthy reflection, she has decided to withdraw her name as Parliamentary Secretary.
Rudd says she has been honoured to serve the Prime Minister in natural resources, and championing Canada abroad.
She adds it is not an easy decision, but Rudd says she wants to focus on the riding, and on the issues that matter to constituents.
