Prince Edward Collegiate Institute will be open for students this coming Tuesday, including some who are attending for the first time.
Although everything will not be done, officials with the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board say classes will be open for students K to 12.
Board spokesperson Kerry Donnell says several rooms have been converted into elementary classrooms, and a new playground has been constructed.
A new bus loop, pavement, curbs, new wiring, lighting, plumbing and a new elevator are also part of the renos.
Donnell says the work, which began in July, is almost finished, with some cleaning to be completed.
The second elevator for the school will take several more weeks, however the school is fully accessible.
