We need to correct an earlier story we published. The Belleville teacher has not, in fact won the Post Food Search for Goodness Teachers Edition Contest, at least not yet.
Kurtis Hartnell, a French immersion teacher at St. Michael Catholic School, has made it to the next round of the Post Food Search for Goodness Teachers Edition Contest.
He topped the latest round of voting by the public.
The grade 3 educator received 7,974 votes in the online contest.
He was nominated because of his ability to create a fun yet challenging learning environment for his students.
A judging panel will now determine the winner who will receive a total of $10,000 from the cereal company with half of that to be given to the school.
Results to come in September.
