.The Director of Education for the local Catholic school board is calling it a career.
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board has accepted the retirement notice from Jody DiRocco, effective January 31. 2019.
He says it has been a privilege to serve the Catholic school system for 34 years.
DiRocco has been the Director of Education for eight of those years.
He began teaching in 1984 at Nicholson, while also spending time at St Michael in Belleville and St Peter School in Quinte West. along with Sacred Heart in Batawa.
DiRocco says he has no plans, as of yet, for his retirement.
