In the great scheme of things vehicle fires are commonplace but the situation was a little
different Saturday afternoon at the Bay of Quinte Golf and Country Club.
A pickup truck caught fire around 2:30 and then the noise started.
Over 100 rounds of ammunition were inside the vehicle.
Quinte West firefighters from the Bayside hall had the fire out quickly and there
were no injuries.
There was damage to a vehicle parked next to the truck.
