One man was transported to hospital by Search and Rescue Technicians from CFB Trenton on Thursday.
A Hercules and Griffon helicopter were sent from the base to Albany River after OPP were advised of a camper who had fallen ill while on a canoe/camping trip.
Search and Rescue Technicians in the Hercules parachuted to the campsite where they immediately began to stabilize the patient for evacuation by Griffon helicopter.
Once on scene, the patient was loaded onto the helicopter and flown to Moosonee hospital where he was transferred in stable condition.
Master Corporal Phil Graham, a Search and Rescue Technician involved in the rescue says they had to contend with a narrow riverbank and some large boulders near their landing site as they parachuted in.
