In Sidney Ward in Quinte West recycling will not be collected today.
Recycling will be collected on Saturday August 25. The routes will not be collected today due to unforeseen circumstances. Instead, residents are asked to put their recycling out this Saturday for 7 a.m.
The affected areas are South of Hwy 2 between Quinte View Drive and Atkins Road, and South of the 401 between Glen Miller Road and Wallbridge Loyalist Road on the following streets:
- Lester Road., Hamilton Road, St. Hilaire Road, Vandervoort Road, Ridgeway Lane,
Freedom Crescent, Meyers Creek Road, Hill Drive, Jeffery Drive, Highview Drive,
Aikins Road, Boates Road, Carrington Lane, Quinte Road and Bayview Estates. - South of Highway 2 between Quinte View Dive and Akins Road including; Quinte
View Drive, Bayview Drive, Baylea Drive, North Shore Drive, Bayswater Road,
Highside Road, Ghent Drive, Alice Avenue, Dorothy Drive, Hunt Lane, Settler’s
Landing Drive and Thrashers Lane.
The reason for this change is heat related issues causing the recycling truck drivers to become unwell and mechanical issues with the trucks.
