As forecast, we received a fair bit of rain yesterday in the Quinte region, but according to Environment Canada it wasn’t even close to a record rainfall.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton, we received 17.3 millimetres of rain yesterday. The record for an August 21 is 34.5 mm, set almost 7 decades ago in 1951.
Meanwhile, our area has already received at least 75 mm of rain so far this month, slightly above the normal amount for August of around 72 mm.
