A delegation of five members of Quinte West council will be heading to the big Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference in Ottawa this weekend.
Mayor Jim Harrison says they’ll press for more financial support from senior government.
Mayor Harrison also says they’ll ask the province to extend the time allowed for upgraded training for volunteer firefighters to be completed. Right now, municipalities must provide and finish the training in two years.
The Quinte West delegation will also be asking a lot of questions about how the sale of marijuana will be handled.
