Bancroft OPP are looking for information on a string of break-ins in the area recently, which included the theft of a number of guns.
The first was reported on August 7, where owners of a home on Millionaires Walk in Hastings Highlands say someone came in through a window, sometime between July 9 and August 7 and stole keys.
On August 7 residents of an apartment on Woodview Lane said someone got into their home and stole medication and cigarettes.
Then on August 10, OPP got a complaint about a garage break-in on Vanluven Lane in Bancroft, where a number of guns, hunting bows and tools were stolen.
They include:
– Continental Hungarian 12 gauge shotgun
– SKS 7.62 X 39 Drab Green rifle
– Two single shot .22 caliber rifles
– Cooey single shot .22 caliber rifle
– Single shot 12 gauge shotgun
– Single shot 410 folding shotgun
– Break barrel pellet gun
– Walther B.B. gun pistol
– Jennings compound bow
– Martin compound bow
– Dewalt tool bag with batteries and chargers
– Dewalt 60 volt grinder
– Dewalt impact gun
– Milwaukee radio system
– STIHL MS271 chainsaw
And on August 11, more firearms and other items were taken from a home on St. Ola Road in Limerick Township.
They include:
– Hunting game camera
– Two .22 caliber Cooey hunting rifles
– Fishing poles
– Eagle fish finder
– Suzuki outboard motor.
OPP are asking anyone who might have information on any of these break-ins to get in touch with them.
