Council in Prince Edward County are taking another look at the Millennium Trail Rehabilitation project.
The project was planned to be phased over a number of years in partnership with the Prince Edward County Trails Committee, an informal community group and a chief donor to the project.
Five tenders were received for the re-surfacing of the 13 kilometers of trail and came in significantly over budget.
This has led staff to seek the cancellation of the tender for the project.
Instead, staff is asking council to establish an Ad-Hoc Committee to facilitate the Millennium Trail Rehabilitation capital project.
Council meets at 1 p.m. in Shire Hall on Thursday.
