A company planning to grow high quality marijuana is hoping to locate in the Municipality of Brighton.
At its meeting tonight, Brighton council will hear from the Prime Terpene Company.
The firm wants to buy land in Brighton’s Sharp Road Industrial Park.
It proposes to build a state of the art energy efficient 10,000 square foot indoor cannabis growing facility.
The company estimates it would employ between 12 and 16 people, earning between $36,000 and $50,000 a year.
The project’s initial cost would run between 4 and 5 million dollars.
The company is still awaiting final approval from Health Canada, and it hopes to start building in the spring of next year.
