The organization concerned with the water quality of Picton Bay and the surrounding environment will appeal a recent ruling by the Superior Court.
Save Picton Bay has been fighting Prince Edward County and the owners of the industrial marine port Picton Terminals ever since a barge leaked oil into Picton Bay in March of last year.
Recently, a Superior Court Justice ruled that some of the Picton Terminals property could continue as an industrial site while another part would have to be cleaned up and remediated.
Save Picton Bay is holding an information session on its appeal plans this Saturday (August 18) from 2 to 4 at the former fire hall in downtown Picton.
