Belleville police are hoping the public can help identify a suspect after a woman was mugged Thursday night.
Police report a man assaulted a woman from behind as she was walking on Everett Street near Catharine
Street around 10:30.
He unsuccessfully tried to steal her purse but managed to run away with a plastic bag containing prescription medicine.
The suspect is described as white, in his mid 20s, about 5’9″ tall with a medium build and short dark hair.
