Fire Chief Derrick Little has lifted the burn ban in the Municipality of Tweed and the Township of Stirling-Rawdon.
In a press release, the department states fire conditions continue to be very high and fires will start easily and people should use extreme caution when burning.
The Fire Department must be notified by calling 613-391-8857 before open air burning on farms begins and ends.
There is zero tolerance for burning garbage and fines will be levied.
Anyone who is burning must have a burn permit and abide to all the terms and conditions.
