July was a solid month for the local real estate business.
According to the Quinte District Association of Realtors, dollar sales were up for all property types last month when compared to July of last year.
The 286 residential units sold in July was also up slightly from the 278 units sold in 2017.
The average sale price for a residence last month was $342,000, up 12.5 percent from last year.
Meanwhile, the association reports the Quinte region is one of the most affordable of 18 regions tracked by the Canadian Real Estate Association in Ontario.
Only the Thunder Bay, Sudbury, and Windsor-Essex regions offer a lower average residential price than this area’s price of $326,000.
